We can help you write your book, proposal, film or video script, article, educational and training materials, reports, etc. Any topic. I do the writing and work with others who provide research and support services, including help with self-publishing and Web publishing. I can work from your notes, tapes, transcripts, rough draft, or interviews with you. If you need additional research, I can assist, too. Articles, proposals, reports, and educational/training materials can be prepared in 1-2 weeks; a complete book in 4-6 weeks. The project can be provided on a CD or in files sent e-mail (using Word 2003, Publisher 2003, Adobe PDF, or ASCII/text), or in a hard copy. I can help with finding publishers, through www.publishersandagents.net. I have written and sold over 40 books of my own to major national publishers, including Random House, Prentice Hall, Simon & Schuster, Warner Books, Avon, AMACOM, Contemporary, Kensington, Alpha Books, and Perseus Books. I have successfully sold books for several clients. My own books are in a number of fields, including popular culture, law, crime, psychology, self-help, personal development, business, organizational behavior, management, and marketing. Four of my books have won first-place awards for non-fiction from the National Federation of Press Women. THE EMPOWERED MIND, a self-help psychology book from Prentice Hall, was a Book of the Month Club selection. Several of my scripts are under option by producers or signed by agents. Among them are ROYAL FLUSH, WHY I KILLED MY TEACHER, and KILL.NET, represented by Delphinius Management, BRAIN SWAP, represented by Marcus Bryan & Associates, HOMICIDE BY THE RICH AND FAMOUS, represented by Kurtz Entertainment, and A LAW FOR MY DAUGHTER with Kate Weaver, represented by Stanley Isaacs Productions. Past clients have included psychologists, teachers, academics, business/corporate leaders, professional speakers, and film/video producers. I previously assisted Nintendo with a PR campaign for its Tetris II game.
I am a member of the
American Society of Journalists and Authors, Authors Guild, Northern
California Book Publicists, and other organizations. I have a Ph.D. in
sociology from the University of California/ at Berkeley, a J.D. from
the University of San Francisco Law School, and M.A.s in Anthropology
and in Mass Communications and Organizational, Consumer, and Audience
