CREATING A MORE ETHICAL SOCIETY

This program focuses on what we need to do to become a more ethical society, since a decline in traditional ethics has created to many of our current social problems -- from crime to family problems to difficulties in everyday relationships.  It examines how all of us make ethical choices, and how to resolve the ethical dilemmas in your life or organization based on your own and others' ethical approaches.

The program uses the Ethical Choices Map, so participants can rate and compare their own ethical choices with those of others and use this information to guide them in making more ethical choices and helping others do the same. In a workshop or seminar, the program can include experiential exercises, role playing, simulation games, small group discussion, problem solving, and more. Each program can be customized for your group.

Possible topics include:

  • Why ethics are important to society and how traditional ethical principles provide the foundation of the social order.

  • What's your ethical approach generally and in different situations?

  • How well does your approach work? Is there anything you want to change?

  • What's the ethical approach of others? How does this affect your relationship and what changes do you want to make?

  • How you can apply a more ethical approach to resolving any dilemmas in your own life?

The material in this program is based on the book: MAKING ETHICAL CHOICES, RESOLVING ETHICAL DILEMMAS by Gini Graham Scott.
