  LEARNING THE TRUTH
ABOUT LYING
AND YOUR LIE-Q

This program focuses on when, how, and why people lie, and how to deal with lying in your personal life or in your organization. The program can include experiential exercises, role playing, simulation games, small group discussion, problem solving, experiences on detecting and responding to lies, and more. It also includes a Lie-Q test, so participants can discover how they rate in lying compared to others.  Each program is customized for your group with special handouts and other materials.

Possible topics include:

  • Lying in everyday life

  • Why do people lie? When? To whom?

  • How do people lie? What strategies do they use?

  • What signs give lies away?

  • What happens when people discover lies?

  • When is it appropriate to tell a lie?

  • How to deal with lying:

  • How to perceive lies

  • How to react to others' lies

  • When and how to lie yourself (for a good reason!)

The material in this program is based on the book: THE TRUTH ABOUT LYING by Gini Graham Scott.
